I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology, through the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. I am also an adjunct professor for graduate and undergraduate studies at East Texas A & M University and other universities in the U.S., and I use my teaching to stay abreast of the latest research.
I have been providing psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for in-residence treatment programs for over a decade, as well as evaluations of substance use/mental health issues for professionals (e.g., nurses, nurse practitioners, Pharmacists, Dentists, Veterinarians) who work with their respective Texas Licensing Boards.
I also have a long-standing passion for healthy living and the latest research on health and fitness. This has translated into my being a contributor to numerous publications for many health-related websites. I consider it essential to stay abreast of carefully conducted, promising research, and I apply it to my work and everyday life.
